CHICAGO Michael Richards will be a guest on the Reverend Jesse Jackson’s nationally syndicated radio show to discuss his racist rant at a Los Angeles comedy club.

Jackson says Richards will appear on his “Keep Hope Alive” program to reach out and apologize to the black community. While he called Richards’ words “hateful” and “deep-seeded,” Jackson said he hoped to engage Richards in a broader discussion about race.”We might turn this minus into a plus,” Jackson said. Richards lashed out at hecklers last week with a string of racial obscenities and profane language. The incident was captured on a cell phone videocamera and ended up on the internet.
