Tyson Foods settles discrimination lawsuit with workers November 8, 2006

Tyson Foods Inc. , the largest U.S. meat company, said it settled a discrimination lawsuit with its current and former workers involving its Ashland, Alabama, poultry plant. Tyson will pay $871,000 collectively to 13 plaintiffs, the company said in a statement.

A complaint was filed against the company by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and 13 African American workers, alleging racial discrimination.
