A Monroe Community College student suspected of writing racist graffiti around campus earlier this month has been suspended.

The graffiti was found Oct. 4 and 5 on walls and doors around the Brighton campus. It was subsequently painted over or washed off, said MCC spokeswoman Cynthia Cooper.

The graffiti advocated the killing of white people.

An African-American student is suspected in the incident, and has been suspended for another incident involving a harassment complaint, Cooper said.

She declined to give specifics or identify the suspended student.
