An Asian scientist has lost his racial discrimination case against the cloning pioneer behind Dolly the Sheep.

An employment tribunal found that Dr Prim Singh was unfairly dismissed from the Roslin Institute near Edinburgh but rejected his claims that he had been victimised by Professor Ian Wilmut.

Prof Wilmut found global fame for his work at the Scottish research centre in creating Dolly, the first mammal to be cloned from an adult cell, in 1996.
